Overview

PUC Minas Undergraduate Program in International Relations started in 1996, inside the former Department of Sociology – currently Department of Social Sciences. Since 2002, International Relations field within the university has been increasingly consolidated following its separation from the Department of Sociology with the creation of the Department of International Relations, to which now the Undergraduate Program is attached.

The International Relations Undergraduate Program at PUC Minas seeks to promote an interdisciplinary education for a professional that will be capable of formulating plans, projects, studies and analysis on the international phenomena. The student should also be able to develop and to implement decisions and strategies aimed at international insertion within state, non-state, and private realms. Hence, International Relations undergraduates will be apt to perform at governmental agencies, private companies, non-governmental organizations, international cooperation, financing and exchange agencies and organizations etc.
